Dubai House
A residence where Arabian tradition is reduced to a clean geometry of light and shadow.

A calm volume in a hot climate. I worked with patio, shadow and water as the three primary materials, leaving the building room to breathe.
The outer shell is solid, rhythmic, undecorated; the inner courtyard, on the other hand, opens to the sky — cool, densely planted. The palette is warm sandstone, oak and patinated brass — materials that age beautifully under the sun.
