An apartment in a Kensington period building. The brief was to give the space a contemporary clarity without arguing with the 19th-century architecture.

Cornices and stucco restored in patches; floors in wide oak boards; kitchen and bathrooms wrapped in hand-finished limestone. A warm palette, soft light, no decoration that doesn’t serve the tone of voice.
