A countryside sauna pavilion cut into the hillside. Stone, timber, steam.

A sauna pavilion on a mountain plot. The volume is cut into the slope so that from the approach only a narrow strip of glazing is visible, while from inside the full valley opens up.
Materials: local stone, heat-treated oak, charred cedar outside. Wet and dry zones are separated by a heavy glass door; all lighting is concealed, warm, below eye level.
